A Virtual Visit allows users to create visits where a staff member does not require to see the patient face-to-face. An example of this would be a patient requiring a telephone consultation which could be done anywhere by the staff member. This means that Virtual Visits do not take into account travel time and mileages though it does add the Total hours (Visit duration total).
To create a Virtual Visit, go into the patients profile and add a one-off/repeating visit:
The first dropdown will ask you to select whether the visit is a Face-to-Face visit or Virtual visit. Select the Virtual Visit option:
The rest of the options are exactly the same as how a Face-to-Face visit is created. For more information on this, please Click Here
Important Note: Please follow the workflow from top to bottom. The type of visit will need to be selected in order to allow the system to unmask the rest of the interactive sections. For example, users need to select the visit type to unmask the Site, Patient, Group and Service. Once a service has been selected, the frequency can be added. Once the day/s have been added, the additional notes will be enabled.
Virtual Visits are shown in a grey target icon: and a Face to Face visits have a locator pinpoint icon:
. The Virtual visits icon can be seen in the Day View, Week View, Compact View, Upcoming visits and Mobile app.
If you want to see virtual visits vs face to face visits on a custom report, this can be done via the column "Encounter Code". This will show a value of "VR" for virtual visits or "HH" for a face to face visit. If you wish for such a report to be created, please contact Civica Scheduling support.
