There are two ways of creating a monthly repeating event:
- on a day of the week within the month - for example 3rd Monday of the month
- on a date of the month - for example on the 20th of the month.
If it is important to ensure that a repeating appointment appears every month, you must ensure that if you have chosen a date repeating cycle, this date is one that appears every month. For example, if you choose an appointment to occur on the 31st of the month, it will only show in January, March, May, July, August, October, and December, as these are the only months in the year that have a 31st. If you would like your event to appear every month you must choose a frequency that will allow it, such as on the 28th of the month.
Similarly, if you have created an event to occur on the 5th Friday of the month, you need to be aware that sometimes there isn't a 5th Friday. These can be a bit more tricky to figure out when they will go missing, so your best bet in this example would be to choose the 4th Friday of the month, as even in February each day of the week will always appear four times.
