Messages in Civica Scheduling allow you to pass messages from one office user to another - ie they do not send messages to the mobile phone app to your staff out in the field.
- You can store messages about a Patient , visit, or staff member.
- You can assign messages for other staff members to resolve
- You can classify messages to give different statuses.
To add a message, go to the relevant area - for instance, if a Patient has complained you would go to the Patient record. You enter the message information, and assign to a staff member if required and can give the message a status, such as "Complaint"
For your colleague to resolve the message, when they are logged in they will see in the top bar that they have a message allocated to them - this is indicated by a number in brackets after the word "Messages". They can then add a resolution as required.
All the messages stay where they are originally added. So, if you have added a message for a Patient, you can click on the messages tab on that Patient and see all the recent messages. Similarly, if you add a message about a staff member the messages are stored on their record in the system.
At the bottom of the Journal/Message log, there will be a blue link titled "See all messages related to [Patient's Name]", which allows you to pull up all the relevant messages.
To the right of this, you will also be able to get a printable version of these messages by clicking on the blue link titled 'Print All Messages/Notes for [Patient's Name]'.
Please note, message/journal entries cannot be edited to provide a true and accurate audit trail.
